Frequently Asked Questions
|
|
|
I
placed an ad in the paper, but can't find it online. Where is it?
All classified line ads that are printed in the newspaper, appear
online. If you can't find your ad online, try a "keyword
search", where the keyword is your phone number as it appears in the
ad. For example, 555-1234. This is the easiest way to confirm
that your ad is online. If you still can't find it, send an
e-mail to webmaster@nacorp.com,
and include as much information as you can about your ad.
|
I performed a
search, but got no results. What went wrong?
Chances are that there were no ads for that particular classification or
sub-classification and time period.
|
Can
you help me with my classified search?
If you are using keywords and getting no results, try searching
with just one or no keywords. If you use no keywords, you will get all the
day's ads. For a keyword to work, the word must appear in the ad exactly
as you had typed it. More search options are available from the
Advanced search pages.
|
If
I place a classified line ad in the print product will it appear online as
well?
Yes, if you place an in the print product it will also appear
online for no additional charge. You can not place
an ad online without placing one in the newspaper.
|
Is
the online classified content the same as the print product's classifieds?
The online classified content is the same as the print product
except for the retail display ads; they do not appear online.
|
When is the content
updated?
The online classified content is updated by 6 a.m. daily, barring any
unforeseen circumstances. The online classifieds content is a mirror image
of the print-product. The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret Morning News'
online classifieds are exactly the same except the Deseret Morning News
does not accept advertising for alcohol (including beer), tobacco, tea, or
coffee; NC -17 or X-rated movies; massage therapy; astrology services; or
gambling. Neither online edition will knowingly accept advertising for a
book, motion picture or product involved in pending litigation.
|
Who
is the Newspaper Agency Corporation?
The Newspaper Agency Corporation was
founded in 1952 by The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret Morning News
to manage the newspapers' advertising, printing and circulation. The two
newspapers remain under separate ownership and are editorially
independent.
